2. receptor n. 受體；接受器；感覺器官

3. reception n. 接待；接收；招待會；感受；反應(yīng)
They gave the Prime Minister a cool reception.
他們對首相的接待很冷淡。
4. accept v. 接受；承認(rèn)；承擔(dān)；承兌；容納

7. conceive v. 懷孕；構(gòu)思；以為；持有
She is unable to conceive.
她不能懷孕。
8. perceive v. 察覺，感覺；理解；認(rèn)知
Most blind people, even if they don't have any sight, are still able to perceive light.
大多數(shù)盲人，即使沒有任何視力，也能夠感知光。

10. deceive v. 欺騙；行騙

不要嘗試欺騙。
11. except v. 不計(jì)，把……除外；反對 prep. 除……之外 (多用于介詞)
We work every day except Sunday.

12. exception n. 例外；異議
There is one exception to this general principle.
這個一般性原則有一例外。
13. exceptional adj. 異常的，例外的
This deadline will be extended only in exceptional circumstances.
只有在特殊情況下才會延長最后期限。
14. susceptible adj. 易受影響的；易感動的；容許……的
James was extremely susceptible to flattery.
詹姆斯非常容易受奉承話的影響。
1. claim v. 宣稱；要求，索??；引起（注意）；獲得；奪去（生命）；索賠（錢財）；需要
The judge allowed my claim.
法官同意我的要求。
2. acclaim v. 稱贊；為……喝彩，向……歡呼
The work was acclaimed as a masterpiece.
該作品被譽(yù)為杰作。
3. proclaim v. 宣告，公布；聲明；表明；贊揚(yáng)
The president proclaimed a state of emergency.
總統(tǒng)宣布了緊急狀態(tài)。
4. announce v. 宣布；述說；預(yù)示；播報
We are pleased to announce that all five candidates were successful.
我們高興地宣布，五位候選人全都當(dāng)選了。
5. pronounce v. 發(fā)音；宣判；斷言
Have I pronounced your name correctly? 我把你的名字讀對了嗎？
